Hello! I’m Danny, and I’m thrilled to offer tutoring services in physics, astronomy, mathematics, and programming in Python. I hold an undergraduate degree in Physics from UC Berkeley and a PhD in Astrophysics from UCLA, where I focused on advanced research in the field. In addition to my academic qualifications, I have professional experience as a Data Scientist, specializing in new sensor technologies, which allows me to bring a real-world perspective to my teaching.

I have over 6 years of experience in education, with a strong foundation in both classroom and one-on-one settings. As a Teaching Assistant throughout my graduate studies, I assisted in more than 8 college-level courses in physics and astronomy. I conducted 1-on-1 office hours for each of these courses, helping students understand complex concepts and succeed in their coursework. My background also includes 10+ years of Python experience and scientific computing. I greatly enjoy breaking down abstract and challenging topics into simpler, more digestible explanations.

In addition to my college-level teaching, I have experience tutoring math at the elementary and high school levels. I’ve worked with students ranging from basic arithmetic to calculus and algebra, and I love helping younger learners build a strong foundation in math. My approach focuses on building confidence, improving problem-solving skills, and tailoring lessons to each student's unique needs and learning style.

Whether you're seeking help with basic math, understanding the wonders of the universe through astronomy, tackling physics concepts, or solving advanced technical problems in Python, I am here to help you succeed. I look forward to working with you and helping you achieve your academic goals!

I completed my undergraduate degree in Physics at UC Berkeley, followed by my PhD in Astrophysics at UCLA. I then worked as a Data Scientist on sensor technology in a research laboratory. I used advanced mathematics daily throughout my education and research experience and have taught/tutored math and physics consistently for the last 10+ years.
Astronomy

Astronomy

I completed a PhD in Astrophysics at UCLA, where I pursued research on star formation and galaxy evolution. Following my PhD I continued as a Postdoctoral Scholar, also at UCLA, to expand upon my dissertation research. Overall I have 10+ years of astrophysics research experience and 6+ years of physics/astronomy teaching experience.

Very knowledgeable and a good teacher

Daniel has an excellent mastery of physics. He is also great at conveying that knowledge and helping me work through problems and concepts. I am taking physics at UC Berkeley and Daniel is definitely on the level of my course here.
