She is patient, kind, and thorough. She is promptly on time and starts to teach immediately. My niece has shown significant signs of improvement in reading. She no longer dreads having to pull out a book to read. On the other hand, she asks us to engage in “reading games” with her! Karen is helping her build confidence and valuable reading skills. They practice letters, sounds, sight words, reading, and my niece’s favorite - singing the words out loud.

Mr. H taught my kids reading and writing. He started by prompting them observing first, asking what they saw, what they hear. That's a good start in having things to write about. In reading, he understood their reading level first, then select materials that just a little challenging for them. Very good tutor.
