I am looking for a private teacher for my 2 children (10 and 14 years old). We were 8 years in DE (near Heidelberg) and moved back in July last year - the children would like to continue learning / do not forget their German. We already have books and want tutoring once a week in the afternoon.

I am moving to Germany in just over a year, have experience with the language but still a beginner. I am interested in both private and or group lessons. My girlfriend is German and I’ve spent the last two holidays in Berlin with her family speaking German.

I'm a 30-year-old southern Californian living in Seattle (for the past 7 years) with a lifelong passion for German history (BA, History with emphasis in modern German history), traveling in German-speaking areas. When we travel, we like to immerse ourselves and pretend we live there, even though we may struggle through the language and the culture (less the case for Spain/Mexico, but very much the case for France, Germany, and Italy).
I'm looking for someone to help me create a mostly self-sufficient German curriculum using proven learning materials (apps, books, articles, podcasts, anything), reinforced by weekly hourly conversations/reviews.
