My daughter is in 8th grade and needs help translating an essay into ASL. She has a basic understanding and loves learning ASL.

I am interested in having private lessons for my family in ASL. This would include my wife and two children, years 9 and 8. My 8 year old daughter is dyslexic, and I believe that ASL being a tactile language will help her to approach language in a fun and unique way, opening up her view of learning. Additionally, I would like to bring the family together by learning a second language together. Personally, I worked at the Disability Resource Center at San Francisco State University, and enjoyed working with the Deaf Community and Interpreters then.
Looking for a tutor who would be available to teach our family privately, once per week, in ASL, and has a curriculum to follow when we learn together, but for practice between sessions as well.

I am looking to start a Deaf Studies Program at CSN in Spring 2018. I would love to get a head start and get some tutoring. I can afford 1 session a week right now and would look to continue weekly sessions through my education, approx. 1 & 1/2 years.
