A Few Spanish Tutor Qualifications
I spent two years in Central America where I spoke Spanish daily. When I came back to the U.S. I took one college course in Spanish literature and tested out of three introductory Spanish courses.

I am a native Spanish speaker, born in Madison, WI and raised in Puerto Rico; and I completed all my studies in high-school and Bachelors degree in Spanish speaking institutions (with a strong focus on English as a second language). Hence, I have strong foundations in translating between Spanish and English. Moreover, given that my major study topic was Philosophy, I have very strong writing skills in both Spanish and English (my Masters degree was done in an English speaking institution, including my Masters thesis). Also, I have tutored and offered classes all throughout high-school and college on maths, logic and philosophy.

I am a Spanish teacher with a Master's degree, certified in teaching grades K-12. I have taught Spanish and French in both public and private schools, including honors/gifted students, as well as students with special needs. I have also substituted as a bilingual teacher, and am able to speak native Spanish. I lived and worked in South America. My passion is to help students boost their confidence and reach their personal learning goals, including reading, writing and speaking Spanish - and enjoy it. We work together using a variety of activities to help each student learn all they need to know, and more. I am dedicated to connecting with each individual student, get to know them and their learning challenges, then lead them to a higher level overall. I aim to help them look forward to their Spanish class. Please feel free to let me help your student engage and do well in Spanish. Thank you.

I have been teaching Spanish for the past 18 years and tutoring it for the past two.Much of my experience has been teaching Spanish to children in bilingual classes when I taught them math, reading, writing, and science in Spanish. During that time I also taught Spanish to the English speakers where we learned to speak, take notes, and sing in the Spanish. I also created and implemented Spanish curriculum that I taught to English speakers from grades 6-9 including grammar, reading, writing, math, and conversation at a magnet school for Math, Science, and Technology. At the end of each semester they gave presentations in Spanish and had to answer questions that I gave them; all in Spanish. The past two years for WyzAnt, I have tutored students in Spanish from grades K to College.I also teach the accent so those that learn it will sound just like a native speaker. I truly love the Spanish language and sharing it with others.

I've trained over 100 students with little to no history with the Spanish language, and within 6-9 weeks, 100% of them were able to have a meaningful conversation with a native speaker. I've also trained over 50 Spanish teachers on how to connect with their students more meaningfully, as well as how to teach the language more effectively. I was chosen to help open up a Spanish language training center in Benemerito, Mexico, and helped train the native teachers on how to teach non-native speakers the Spanish language effectively.

There are a number of different factors that have helped me to achieve my goal of imparting quality education. I believe that first and foremost it is my love for the Spanish language and for teaching in general that has made the biggest difference. Other factors include that I am a native Mexican, I have a strong comprehensive knowledge of the Spanish language. I am a trained tutor with expertise in teaching the language. I have extensive experience in teaching students from different walks of life in both academic and non-academic settings. I specialize in teaching people of all different backgrounds.
