A Few Tutor Qualifications
I recently worked with a student who had a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from another country and needed to pass the GED in order to enter a program at the UW. I worked with him on English and math. We determined the best route for him to take was to try to take the exam in Spanish. He found out he could do that, and so he was able to do very well with the topics presented. I worked with him on some math concepts he wasn't familiar with so he could pass all sections.
I feel quite qualified to tutor students with a diagnosis of Autism because I have experience both personally and professionally with students in this population. I have provided support in the classroom setting, as well as have provided tutoring services to students on the Autism Spectrum. I also have experience conducting ABA Programs. My personal experience includes having a son who is diagnosed on the Autism Spectrum, who is now 12 years old! I have been very closely involved in all my son's therapies and education. In addition, I am an Educational Advocate, securing services for many children on the Autism Spectrum, including my niece!
I have excelled in all subjects in elementary school (K-6th). Besides the fact that I was an advanced student, my background and understanding students in K-6 subjects also came from being a private tutor for a 4th and 6th grader over a course of two years. I have assisted students in mainly Math (basic to advanced algebra) and English (writing essays, summaries, vocabulary, grammar). I also have much knowledge in science and history. I'm very patient and any time I tutor a student, they learn flawlessly. I have proven success in this area, as test scores and overall comprehension improved through measurable results. I have also taken an education course at UCI during my undergrad, which included over 80 hours of volunteer work at an underprivileged school nearby. There, I worked with a class room of ~25 students after school assisting them with their homework and improving their computer skills. Also, I took both lifespan and child psychology. Both of which help me understand child development, behaviors, and how to effectively handle the situation based on my understanding of what is expected.I am well versed in the English language and am able to tutor in grammar, vocabulary, sentence structure to name a few. I have also taken mathematics up to college calculus and statistics. I am also knowledgeable in the basics for an array of subjects and am adept to tutor k-6 students effectively. In my previous experience, I audit my student's homework to ensure accuracy and work through problems as we work together through the tougher topics. My goal is that the students understand the topic rather than just know the answer.

My parents have taught me thoroughly about the Bible and what it means to have a relationship with Christ. I have lead countless people to Christ.
