But I realized I was running out of time to prepare for the GMAT so to maximize the two weeks that I have before starting work, I decided to find a tutor who can help me hone the fundamentals of GMAT’s quantitative section. What drew me to Elena was her engineering background (strong quantitative skills), her familiarity with GMAT problems (she has taken the GMAT), and her extremely flexible tutoring hours.

Alex knows the GMAT inside out and has developed his own comprehensive study materials from years of reviewing OGs, official test questions, and exercises from various test prep programs. He helps you focus and tells you exactly what steps you need to take next. He's easy to communicate with, responsive, and encouraging (though he'll push you hard not to make stupid mistakes and to pay attention - which is exactly what I think the GMAT calls for).

After I mastered each subject that the GMAT tested, we moved on to practicing GMAT questions and review the questions together during our lesson time. Working with Scott was really helpful to my improved score; I went from a 34 to a 42 on the quant section. I really feel that spending time on the basics and then working through GMAT questions together really helped me a lot. We did not spend much time on verbal because my score was already in the high 80s.
