A Few Spanish Tutor Qualifications
My passion for language started as a teenager, when I chose foreign language as my concentration in high school in Arezzo, Italy. Later, my love of international travel put these language skills to use, and I dramatically improved my vocabulary and fluency in Spanish through extended stays in Mexico and Latin America. Because of this immersive exposure, I can now move fluidly between Italian, Spanish and English.I have spent the last 6 years teaching Spanish and Italian as a foreign language to elementary school children, adult students at language institutes and universities, and to corporate clients in intensive language training workshops. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, from the University of Florence, and I started my teaching career 13 years ago in the field of Special Education.

I am a journalist and PhD in Journalism and have extensive knowledge of Spanish, its grammar and how to speak properly with a neutral accent, precisely because I am Spanish born in Spain. For many years I wanted to tell clearly in my journalistic work the things that happened, so that everyone can fully understand. To achieve it, is essential a good knowledge of Spanish. Honestly, I think I got it.

I have a BA in Spanish and an MA in Romance Languages from UCLA. I have taught all ages, from junior high school students to adults in business, both one-on-one and in classrooms. I lived in Spain for three years and have also traveled extensively throughout Mexico, Ecuador, and Argentina - and am almost always mistaken for a native speaker. I know how to bring the language to life.
