I am a UK native, and that means that English is my first language, spoken with a British accent.

I was raised in Mexico City and went to school there and also worked there, so I speak read and write Spanish fluently.

I spent most of my young life training to be a dancer, and have just completed a full year teaching ballet part time in Richmond,VA.I am passionate about all forms of dance.

I believe that no matter what the subject is, the student is still in a classroom, and that means they deserve all my attention. In turn I expect 100 % of their attention. I ask my students to switch off cell phones, PDAs and handheld devices, and give me the respect that they want me to give to them.

I want my students to enjoy their time with me, and to ask questions and feel that they are making progress. My teaching style is that of a sandwich, praise, criticize, praise.

ballet

I trained as a professional ballet dancer, my final 3 years of professional training took place at Ballet Rambert School in London. My studies included, pointe, martha Graham contemporary technique, classical repertoire, and pas de deux. During 2007 - 2009 I was teaching ballet at all levels form beginner to pointe and advanced levels at Richmond Dance Center in Richmond, Va and at Regency Dance Academy in Richmond, VA I choreographed numbers for the annual recitals at each school. i also worked as a substitute teacher at Central VA Dance Academy and at Diane Hale school of Dance both in Richmond, VA.
