Hi! My name is Ginny. I want to tell you a little bit about myself. I have nineteen years experience as an Educational Professional/Consultant. I have held positions as a Director of Learning Centers, Spanish/English Second Language Teacher for the Public School System and a Corporate ESL Language/Culture Trainer. In addition, I have taught Higher Education in ESL and tutored.

I have been tutoring for sixteen years privately and with other tutoring companies. I tutor K-Adult and tutor in most academic subjects. I am approved with WyzAnt to tutor ESL, Grammar, TESOL, Vocabulary, Spelling, Elementary Science, and Algebra.

My area of expertise is English Second Language. I have eighteen years teaching ESL. I tutor K-Adult. There are three different areas I teach and tutor in ESL. Public and private schools K-12, Corporate Language/Culture Training, and Higher Education. In K-12, I tutor in the Public/Private Schools using the school curriculum. The Corporate Language/Culture training is more Business oriented and requires assessments. In some cases I have taught bi-lingual classes. I have worked with Global Companies like Capital One, DuPont, and San Francisco Giants to name a few. It also addresses specific professions, for example, dentistry and medical. Higher Education, may involve students needing to pass the Test of English as a Foreign Language or taking ESL classes to further their Education. Whether business ESL, specific professions, K-12, and Higher Education, all elements of ESL are addressed: reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills and in all levels. I have Master’s work in ESL and am endorsed in ESL by the Virginia Department of Education.

My approach to tutoring is relationship building, obtaining goals, and uncovering specific needs. In some cases there is teacher contact in K-12.
