Hi, I’m Ahmed. I hold a Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Engineering (Chemical Engineering focus) from Khalifa University, completed in collaboration with MIT, along with a Master’s degree (4.0/4.0) and a First Class Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering. My academic training is strongly rooted in mathematics, physics, and chemistry, which I apply extensively in both research and teaching.
I have several years of teaching and mentoring experience at university level. I have served as a course lecturer for General Chemistry and as an assistant instructor for courses such as Chemical Engineering Thermodynamics and Chemical Reaction Engineering. In these roles, I led problem-solving sessions, designed exams and quizzes, and supported students through one-on-one and group interactions.
I also worked as a teaching assistant for courses like transport phenomena and engineering statistics, where I regularly delivered tutorials and supported students during office hours. In addition, I have supervised undergraduate and Ph.D. students on research and design projects, helping them understand complex concepts and apply them effectively.
I tutor both high school and university students in STEM subjects. For high school students (especially Grade 11–12), I focus on algebra (Algebra I and II), physics, and chemistry, with emphasis on exam preparation. My teaching is primarily one-on-one, allowing me to adapt to each student’s level. I start by identifying gaps in fundamentals, then guide students through step-by-step problem solving using exam-style questions. My goal is to help students build confidence, improve their understanding, and develop the ability to solve problems independently.
