I just looked it up in the Hebrew biblical text. The Hebrew word "oor" (for "skin") is used as an adjective for katnot, which is plural for garments.

In Genesis 3 :21, the JPS translation reads " And the LORD God made for Adam and for his wife garments of skins, and clothed them. " In the original Hebrew, is the word for 'skins' singular?
