att: Arthur D Illistration how to calculate square root longhand.

Question

For square root of 2  I don't get  the 2____ just below 24     96 and above the 4.00 please explain.

Also on the illustration for square root of 7   I get your illustration completely through your numbers but to get more digits my calculator has 2.645751 & so on,  but when I do the calculation when I get to the digit after 7 I can only get 4 and it should be a 5 please explain.    also if you will how about an illustration on a number like 23.125  Thanks Rusty nut here

GOOGLE "how to calculate square root longhand", Its easier than trying to explain here.  If you have a question after that, let me know.  It is not difficult.  I have taught a 12 year old how to do it!  And she really loves it!!
