Critical Care Paramedic Instructor here to help :)
If you take you’re NREMT test at any level you are allowed to fail a certain number of those test. (You can find that information on the NREMT website). You will retest those stations that same day. If you fail any of those skills again, you will have to come back on a different day to pass those skills that you have failed. If you come back again, and fail those final skills you will have to go through remediation and take the NREMT skills all over again.
Example: you go through your skills test and fail medical and trauma. You will then wait until everyone else is finished testing for them to start retest. You will then go retest BOTH medical AND trauma. Then say you pass medical but fail trauma. You will have to take the trauma test on a different day. Say you come back in a week to take trauma and you pass. Fantastic. You’re done. Say you take trauma and fail. You will have to show proof of remediation with a state certified instructor, and take your skills test all over again (all skills).
