Why does Google SketchUp not support Linux?

First Google has not owned SketchUp for several years. The Trimble company is now the parent company for SketchUp.

I have asked SketchUp directly why they do not yet have a version for any of the Linux distributions and they said that to date not enough users or potential users have requested this feature.

Simple question, simple answer. I would love a SketchUp version for Linux but until many, many more users make the request we will need to be content with Windows and Mac OS options.
