Yes, some do. In general, experts consider Sophocles, Aeschylus, and Euripides to be on par with Shakespeare. And they wrote more. Each of the Greek tragedians produced about 100 plays to Shakespeare's 39. Nobody reads or performs the less popular 20 of Shakespeare plays anymore. So Sophocles (and the rest) wrote a lot of plays on the level of Hamlet, Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet, etc. Supposedly no duds, but that is hard to believe. I am not sure people would place Aristophanes as high up as they do the tragedians, but very high. Maybe he is a peer of Christopher Marlowe or Ben Johnson.
