it is a mathematics question. so please answer with solution step by step.a hedge boundary needs to be planted around a rectangular lawn 18m long and 12m wide. if 3 shrubs can be planted to grow a meter of hedge, how many shrubs will be needed in all?

The perimeter of the boundary is 2(18) + 2(12) = 36 + 24

                                                                         = 60 meters

 

Since we need 3 shrubs for every meter of the boundary, the total number of shrubs would be (3)(60) = 180 shrubs.
