No, Venus (Aphrodite) was married to Vulcan (Hephaistos), the blacksmith of the gods. She cheated on him with the god of war, Mars (Ares). Vulcan found out about the affair and set a trap for the lovers. He caught them in net while they were making love and dragged them to Mount Olympus to show the other gods. Sadly for Vulcan, the other gods just thought it was hilarious. Vulcan divorced her afterwards.
