How do I copy folder with files to another folder in Unix/Linux?

I am having some issues to copy a folder with files in that folder into another folder. Command `cp -r` doesn't copy files in the folder.

cp -r source_directory destination_directory

I will copy all files recursively - that's the whole purpose of -r option. Share more information if it does not seem to work for you.

Can you tell me more about the error your getting? And also the entire command you are using with the source and destination folders?
