Hebrew for 'hit' (colloquial)

I'd like to know the Hebrew word for 'hit', in the colloquial sense - as in 'success'. For example, "the new hit single from", "your cakes were a hit" etc. If anyone could help, that would be fantastic.

The Hebrew word להיט (la-hit) would be the best translation.

Actually, this word was invented in the 60s as a combination of the English "hit" and the Hebrew word ״להט״ means intense heat, or blaze.
