Random question i noticed from a book im reading

This book im reading in Hebrew always includes the י in 4-letter-root פיעל verbs in the שם הפעולה form. I learned in ulpan that it’s davka wrong to include the י. Examples: מיחזור שיחזור תיפעול וכו׳ What gives? It honestly really confuses me sometimes and makes it more difficult to read smoothly so it’s pretty annoying.

In scoreless writing we can write with the letter י (yod) exp: מיחזור שיחזור תיפעול or without מחזור שחזור תפעול

the correct way is without the yod.

In dotted script do not write the letter י (yod) .
