It depends on your goals! If your goal is Yale, Stanford, or Harvard law, even a 180 might not be enough to overcome a 3.4 since those schools have median GPA's in the 3.8 - 3.9 range.
On the other hand, there are many schools where you can get a significant scholarship with a 3.4 and a high LSAT score! It's impossible to give you one answer here without more context.
