Using benzene and 1-bromopropane as your carbon sources complete a synthesis of 3-phenylpropanal using any other necessary reagents

First thing, Add propane onto the ring. It is not recommended to add it via Friedel-Craft alkylation, so I would recommend converting it to Acyl Chloride first. U can use LDA to make a double bond, then BH3THF to add OH and H2CRO4 to make it into carbocylic acid. SOCl2 will make it into acyl chloride. Throw AlCl3 and your benzene, and the whole thing is on the ring (wish I could add pictures) Once on the ring, ther are many ways you can go. you can reduce it to OH, then replace with Br, do Elimination, HBr with Peroxides, another elimination using LDA, BH3THF to add OH and PCC to make it into Aldehyde!
