What's the difference between classics and art history?

Classics is concerned with a specific place and time, e.g. greco-roman antiquity, through the lens of art, culture, literature, and history (see: classicism). By contrast, art history spans all of human history leading up to the present, and is exclusively interested with the history of art itself, not history at large.
