Hello, this is a great and highly subjective question. I would answer in two parts. Firstly, Antigone is a classic in the sense that it was written in Ancient Greek by Sophocles. Secondly, Antigone is a classic in the sense that it is one of the first, if not the first, example of ethical protests. Antigone defies human law (her uncle refusing to allow burial) because it doesn’t follow divine law which is meant to supersede all else. Hope that helps!
