Harvard Law Graduate Who Helps Students Score Higher than 173 on LSAT
The answer varies greatly from individual to individual and for how you study. If your first practice test score is within time and above 173, you just need to develop stamina ... which can be done in two weeks. If your first practice test score is below your goal and you have time issues, you will need to learn whole new techniques. Most people can learn one or two new techniques a week with a tutor. My experience has been that learning is slower for self-study. If you cannot find a written technique that works well for you, no amount of lengthening of the study will cause you to improve. You'll just make permanent whatever bad habits you have. Unless you start at 140 and want to score 175, most people can meet their LSAT goal in practice within six weeks with a capable tutor. For those who have great test anxiety, preparation needs to be much longer so that confidence is built and new methods become preferred habits that don't break down under stress.
