Modern Hebrew for English Speakers
There are really only 22 letters. The letter mem is the 13th letter. All the other letters are just special forms of the 22 letters. None of them have a separate value/function. These other "6" are either different in appearance only when on the end of a word, (sort of like capitals in English. still the same letter, just looks different) Or just a very slight difference in sound when a dot appears on the left or right.
