I assume you want the equation of a line passing through the 2 given points.  First, find the slope m.

 

m = (6 - 4)/(-4 - 2) = -1/3

 

y - y₁ = m(x - x₁)

 

Using the first point,

 

y - 4 = (-1/3)(x - 2)

 

We want this in the form ax + by = c, with a integer and positive.

 

(1/3)x + y = 4 + 2/3 = 14/3

 

x + 3y = 14
