The distance between points (x1,y1,z1) and (x2,y2,z2) in 3-d space is
d = √[(x1 - x2)2 + (y1 - y2)2 + (z1 - z2)2]
To find the distance from the origin, plug in the coordinates of the point in question for one triple, and plug in (0,0,0) for the other triple.
