Convert to base 8

Did the work on this one as well, just checking answers:

 

3152 to base 8

for base 8 we have   8³ = 512, 8² = 64, 8¹ = 8, and 8⁰ = 1

 

divide 3152 by 512 = 6 remainder 80

 

divide 80 by 64 = 1 remainder 16

 

divide 16 by 8 = 2 remainder 0

 

therefore the number in base 8 is  6120

 

Check answer: 2x8 + 1x64 + 6x512 = 16 + 64 + 3072 = 3152 correct
