Grant,
If something goes a certain number of miles per hour, that means that every hour, they go that distance. Your plane is going 300 miles every hour. So in 1 hour, the plane goes 300 miles. In 2 hours, it goes 300 more, or 600 miles. For every mile, you would add another 300 miles.
The short way to do repeated addition is to multiply. In 4 hours, the plane will go 4 * 300 = 1200 miles. In 7 hours, 7 * 300 = 2100 miles. How many miles in 10 hours?
You can take it from here.
