A population consists of the five numbers 2, 3, 6, 8 and 11 list all possible samples of 2 from this population and compute the mean of each sample.

Note:  mean is the average of the set of numbers.

 

{2, 3}  mean = (2+3)/2 = 2.5

{2, 6}  mean = 4

{2, 8}  mean = 5

{2, 11} mean = 6.5

{3, 6}  mean = 4.5

{3, 8}  mean = 5.5

{3, 11} mean = 7

{6, 8}  mean = 7

{6, 11} mean = 8.5

{8, 11} mean =9.5
