m(0)= 140 because you start with 140 dollars and have not spent any money yet.
We also know that you will spend $24 a day (which will make it negative). So the variable d will be multiplied by 24 to get -24d. So the equation looks like this:
m= 140-24d
B. From here it is just plugging the 5 into the equation:
m= 140- 24*5= 140-120= 20
