Yes, this is a linear equation. A linear equation is one that has the highest exponents on the variables as 1, regardless of the number of variables.
Example: 8a+2b-17c+2.6d =0 is a linear equation in 4 variables.
If the highest power is 2, it is called quadratic
example: 8a +2b-17c2 +2.6d=12
