Examine the patterns for the numerator (top) and denominator (bottom) separately.

 

Numerator: 1, 2, 4, 7....  To go from 1-->2 is +1, to go from 2-->4 is +2, to go from 4-->7 is +3.  You can figure out the next one.

 

Denominator: 3, 6, 12, 24...  To go from 3-->6 is x2, to go from 6-->12 is x2, to go from 12-->24 is x2.  You can figure out the next one.

 

Once you get the next fraction, you can just as easily go one more.
