The slope intercept form of the equation of a line is: y = mx + c, m = slope, c = intercept
The equation in standard form is Ax + By = C; divide this by B throughout and rearrange to get y = -A/B x + C/B; now compare with slope-intercept form to identify slope m = -A/B and intercept c = C/B
