Question

The sum of three integers is 88. The sum of the first and second integers exceeds the third by 90. The third integer is 20 less than the first. Find the three integers.

x, y and z can be the three integers.

The following three equations represent the three facts set out by the first three sentences.

x+y+z = 88

x+y = z + 90

z = x - 20

All you have to do is solve this system of three (linear) equations. Presumably this is a topic that has been taught in your current class.  Remember to check your answers.
