1/2+ 1/4 change to improper fraction

how do I add 1/2+1/4 and change it to improper fraction

 1/ 2 + 1/ 4 =     / to add first you make the denominator the same, then add.

 

2/4 + 1/4 = 3/4

 

   This is a very proper fraction, and can not be changed to improper fraction
