(5x^3-2x)+(3x^3)

Perform the indicated operation and state the domain. Please help. It is from algebra two should be pretty simple I guess.

Since we are adding, we can just combine like terms to get rid of the parentheses.

 

8x³ - 2x

 

 

This is a polynomial.  Polynomials have a domain and range of all real numbers.  There are no restrictions, unless you are given initial constraints.
