Think of c being divided by d and having 2 added to the fraction.  Undo this:

 

 

c/d + 2 = f/g

 

subtract 2:  c/d +2 - 2 = f/g - 2

 

This gives:  c/d = f/g - d

 

Multiple by d:   d(c/d) = d(f/g - 2)

 

This gives:  c = df/g - 2d
