Pronunciation:
I review the North American English sound system and features that make up fluent speech. Testing of student progress is based on reading of articles of current events and interests.
Writing:
I set out the organization of academic/business prose and, at the discretion of the student, the features of descriptive, compare-and-contrast, argumentative, and research genres of composition.
I offer editing of student drafts in academic and business English.
Grammar:
A grammar course is based on review of the verb system and its modes and styles in connected speech. (Following a free evaluation, the student will require a workbook to take the course.)
