He was always patient with me when I had many questions and he had no problem repeating his answers and describing the processes over again to complete the **math** problems until I understood how to solve the **math** problems. His high knowledge in **math** was evident when he showed me several different processes and **math** formulas to help me achieve the same answer in a much easier way to solve a difficult **math** problem.

After Laleh trained her ; She starts to love **math**. she feels confidence about the **math**. She loves to talk about the **math**. During the weekend, she wants to practice **math** problems by herself. It is all because of Laleh. My daughter **math** score is increasing a lot this year after she got trained by Laleh. I want to say thank you very much. Laleh. Because of you, My daughter starts to like the **math**. You are the best **math** teacher in the world. Thank you again! Annie

Most "**math** people" find **math** so instinctual that they tend to zip through an explanation. Kirk asks me what my goals are for the lesson each time. Then he concentrates on that thing only. If I ask him for broader basic concepts, he does that, too. I had an open-notes **math** midterm test last night (basic algebra, equation of the line, functions, graphing, etc.). I got an A. I don't think I have ever had an A on a **math** test in my life, let alone under these circumstances.

Elementary math can be an interesting, yet challenging subject! It focuses on basic computational skills including addition, multiplication, division, and subtraction. Elementary math also includes problem solving, measurement, fractional concepts, basic geometric concepts, particularly identifying specific shapes, telling time including elapsed time, area, perimeter and use of money. When students struggle with math it's usually because they have missed an important foundational skill. It is vital to review and reteach any missed concepts, so each student has complete mastery of ongoing math skills.

In high school, Geometry was the subject I dreaded the most. Now, it is the subject that I tutor the most. My whole outlook on this course has changed and I have come to appreciate the order of the class. I can empathize with a student who feels lost and can help them make that same transition to seeing the beauty of Geometry, whether it is with angles, lines and triangles in first semester or surface areas, volumes, and circles in second semester.

Philip P.

Geometry is my second favorite subject, it's so tangible and easy to relate to. I work hard to help my students connect personally with their geometry lessons, to see the theorems and postulates in action around them. Bringing the formulas to life helps students overcome any anxiety they may have. I also tend to spend a little time refreshing students on basic algebraic concepts needed to work through the more difficult problems.

I am highly qualified in elementary math, science, vocabulary, and more.

I have been teaching algebra two for over six years, so I know where the trouble spots are for students. I can help with work sheets to supplement (not replace) what you teacher assigns. My goal is to help students overcome obstacles in Alg. 2 and to be more successful and build the foundation needed to tackle pre-calculus. I do know where the trouble spots are and what aspect of lower level math the student may needed remediation in to overcome difficult areas in Algebra 2.Algebra 2 is reasonably abstract compared to algebra 1 or Geometry (which is very visual). I will be able (by virtue of my experience in this subject) to help you make concrete and fully comprehend the abstract material in this course.

Momodu K.

I've tutored algebra for over 10 years.

Pre-Algebra is a subject that builds on itself. Each lesson uses what was learned before. If you don't understand one of the foundational steps, you will get lost later on. Kelvin uses multiple techniques to help students understand the basics and does a thorough review so those building blocks stay fresh. He has the ability to explain things in a couple different ways so that they make sense to the students.

Not only have I studied the problems specific to discrete mathematics but I have taken several other courses related to the subject. I have a strong background in the fundamentals as they are also used heavily in all of Mathematics (Logic, proofs, set theory, etc). Specific courses include: Foundations of Mathematical Reasoning, Discrete Mathematics, Digital Logic Design, Computer Programming, Abstract and Linear Algebra (vector spaces, finite group theory, etc). Hence, I have experience with the problems, how to solve the problems, and why they are being taught to students at this level.

I taught the subjects covered in the SAT. I was a certified math teacher at both public and private schools in Hawaii. During my 16 years of tenure, my full-time teaching line included Geometry, Algebra I, II. I also was a SAT instructor for Sylvan Learning Center's SAT prep class.
