Bio

I am a highly-experienced Family Nurse Practitioner and I worked previously as a Pediatric Nurse while pursuing my graduate and doctoral degrees. I have written and taught over a dozen courses in undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs at local Universities, ranging from clinical courses, Pathophysiology, Advanced Pathophysiology, Health Assessment, Graduate seminars, and have received both undergraduate and graduate teaching awards.

I am a highly-experienced Family Nurse Practitioner and I worked previously as a Pediatric Nurse while pursuing my graduate and doctoral degrees. I have taken groups of students to Haiti and the Dominican Republic on immersion clinical experiences and have outstanding didactic and clinical course reviews. Teaching and medicine and nursing are all passions of mine, and I look forward to providing you with a positive, engaging, thoughtful learning experience.

I have a Bachelor's, Master's and Doctoral degree in Nursing. I absolutely adore science! I worked as a full-time nurse in outpatient, inpatient and PICU settings for 5 years while pursuing my Nurse Practitioner degree and have been working as a Nurse Practitioner for over 11 years. I have taught many core science courses at local universities and have been nominated for and have won several teaching awards in these science subjects. Science is a passion!

I have a lot of experience writing and teaching undergraduate nursing courses at local universities, and I enjoy teaching and understanding test-taking strategies and the mastery of difficult concepts.

Great tutor and very knowledgeable!

Paula was able to go over electrolytes and other lab values as well as child development and immunization scheduling with me in a very efficient way. She was very encouraging and positive. I had been struggling to memorize these subjects for a couple of months and within two sessions with Paula I feel incredibly more confident in my knowledge of these subjects than I did just a few days ago and much more prepared for my upcoming NCLEX date!

Very friendly and understanding

We went over the beginning of the GI unit and reviewed topics such as pyloric stenosis, ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, appendicitis, etc. Paula was very patient and went through everything with me thoroughly. I appreciated her positive and encouraging attitude as I felt more motivated to learn. Overall, great tutor and great experience so far! Looking forward to our future meetings.
