Hi, I'm Allycia! I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in General Biology. During my college years, I gained some experience teaching English and Math in particular, two of my favorite subjects to teach. I realized that I appreciate and found these two subjects more enjoyable for me which is one of the reasons I want my students to feel this way. I used to hate Math for a simple reason: I don't understand it! But as I practiced a lot, I figured that I could do it easily and I started to love the subject until this point. I worked with an online tutoring company for half a year when I gained some experience in teaching Middle School Math. If you ever need help with certain concepts, I'm willing to go the extra mile to explain it until you get it. I believe it's important for students to understand the basic concept first before diving straight into problems.
Additionally, I have a year of tutoring experience in English where I volunteered in a Ukrainian non-profit organization to help students learn conversational English, and working at online teaching platforms where I could grade students' papers and give feedback on areas to improve. I worked directly with any students who needed additional help. In my experience, students would greatly appreciate guidance on approaching problems that fit their needs.
