Hi!

I'm Kaavya R., a Computer Science major at the University of Maryland. I've been tutoring math and computer science for over 5 years and currently also work at a tutoring center as a math instructor. I graduated from Langley High School in Mclean, Virginia with a 4.46 GPA and received a 36 on the ACT. I've studied math up to Linear Algebra, Multi-variable Calculus, and Discrete Mathematics, and I look forward to continuing my education.

I work primarily with elementary and middle school students, as well as early high school students. I'm willing to travel within Northern Virginia, but I also teach online!

I've tutored Computer Science through Codefy, a fiscally sponsored, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to helping students of all ages gain access to free computer science education. I also worked as Director of Outreach, reaching out to schools across the nation through emails to spread Codefy's mission, and to enroll over 2300 new students and volunteers.

I've tutored both one-on-one and in group settings, and I value that my students fully comprehend everything we cover. No question is a bad question! My teaching style is very interactive and I'm open to work on whatever the student needs, whether it be getting ahead on future topics, reviewing old content, or working on homework assigned by school. I'm always available outside of tutoring sessions for any questions, at no extra charge.
