I am a native speaker of Russian and an experienced Russian language instructor. I truly enjoy working with students, selecting or preparing educational materials, and watching my students advance. I conduct classes for students of all ages and fluency levels, from beginners to those with advanced language skills, assisting them in acquiring, maintaining, or improving their language skills.

I have been teaching Russian Language for the past 17 years and offer interactive classes with the use of the media materials, as well as intensive language instruction based on “full immersion” method. The lessons are customized to suit student’s fluency level and objectives for the instruction. I can teach grammar, conversation, reading, writing, listening, understanding media, cross-cultural awareness, as well as familiarization with Russian history, literature, and culture.

Throughout my career I was honored to be a teacher to many talented students, both children and adults. Many of them now live and work overseas, but I still keep in touch with some of them. My professional experience includes teaching at three language institutions in Northern Virginia as well as private tutoring. In 2006 I was awarded a certificate of “Teacher of the Year”, voted by my students.
