Greetings! I'm Yanni, a graduate of the University of Virginia, where I achieved distinction with a double major in physics and computer science. Throughout my academic career, I strived for excellence, and I am confident that my educational background has equipped me with the knowledge and skills necessary to guide you through your math, physics, and computer science learning endeavors.

During my time at UVA, I served as a teaching assistant for various math and physics courses, gaining three years of valuable experience in assisting students with high-level subject matter. Additionally, I have dedicated four years to teaching high school students mathematics. With my background of teaching various levels of STEM concepts, I've gained the experience necessary to help students understand challenging topics from the ground up. I strongly believe in following an inquiry-based learning approach, where I introduce topics to students with high-level questions, following up with numerous examples to illustrate the relevant problem-solving techniques. I always encourage students to ask questions throughout the learning process, so they can truly understand the topic's underlying principles, rather than memorizing formulas without knowing how to use them or where they were derived from.

Beyond my tutoring roles, I have accumulated two years of professional experience as a software engineer, specializing in big data analytics, cloud computing, and data analysis. This practical experience not only complements my academic achievements but also allows me to bring real-world relevance to the subjects I tutor.
