Hello! I am a dedicated and passionate AP biology, biology, and chemistry teacher that always look forward to helping my students. I am licensed in both those subjects and have been teaching in the public schools for the past 4 years along with several hours of 1:1 tutoring. I specialize in AP Biology but am able to help in all areas!

I am passionate about my students and like to provide personalized lessons. My teaching style incorporates the resources and curriculum I use in the classroom so I like to provide those in my tutoring session as well. I do content review using my slides/powerpoints as a visual, practice material using activities, case studies, and MCQs, and working out/discussing free response questions. I would be very happy to have a session with you to share all that in detail.

I am a graduate of Benedictine University where I received my Bachelors of Science in Biology. I later did my Master’s in Science Education at University of Illinois at Chicago where I got my teaching license. Thereafter, I taught in Chicago as a high school teacher for 4 years with a focus in subjects like AP biology, IB biology, IB chemistry, anatomy and physiology, & algebra. I am passionate about the sciences and want to help my students not only appreciate the beauty within it but also find the importance of teaching study habits and life skills. I also can help in mathematics, test prep, healthcare, post secondary decisions, and more!

Outside of teaching I love cooking, walking, yoga, spending time with family, traveling, and learning about new cultures (ask me about my time when I lived in Japan if interested)! I am a strong believer in education and will do my best to help student’s realize their potential which is the key to unlocking all the treasures of this world.
