I graduated from Plano West Senior High with a 4.3 GPA, as well as National Merit and 15 AP credits. During my time there, I tutored my fellow students and played literature for our school Quizbowl (trivia) team. I recently completed my freshman year at Texas A&M University as a biology major and made the Dean's Honor Roll.
My passion and specialty is biology, particularly at the cellular and molecular level. I am able to tutor the subject at middle school, high school, and beginner college levels. I earned a 5 on the AP Biology exam and am very familiar with its test format. Biology is thought of as a memorization-heavy subject, but I believe that it also involves a lot of critical thinking and creativity to be truly successful!
Some fun facts about me and my studies: My favorite topic within biology is metabolism! Over the course of my first college biology class, I answered 179/180 exam questions correctly. (I'm still a little mad about that last question.) Some of heroes in science include Gerald Edelman, John Nash, Richard Feynman, and Erwin Schrodinger.
