Bio

I specialize in teaching calculus. I have tutored more hours in calculus than in any other subjects! While working on my master's degree in mathematics at University of Houston, I taught calculus several times each semester for three years. My students loved my classes because I excelled at explaining clearly very difficult concepts, giving them several angles, and making them really understand. I specialize in teaching calculus. I have tutored more hours in calculus than in any other subjects! While working on my master's degree in mathematics at University of Houston, I taught calculus several times each semester for three years. My students loved my classes because I excelled at explaining clearly very difficult concepts, giving them several angles, and making them really understand. As my children went through high school and college and ran into difficulties with calculus, I came to realize how much poor teaching could do to hinder the understanding of calculus. Very often, such teaching can make the concepts more confusing than they actually are. Since then, I have tutored many high school and college students in AP calculus and Calculus I, II and III. I am happy to report that all these kids turned out to be very successful in their math studies. The overall feedback from my students is that I am good at making difficult concepts easy, complicated ideas simple, and helping them really understand.

I hold a master's degree in mathematics from University of Houston and a master's degree in electrical engineering from a prestigious university in China.

Mr. Ping helped my son review the basic properties of all Precalculus parent functions and also reviewed the procedures to graph a function by first identifying the parent function then transform it by following the transformation rules.
